Unique portrait of a country in war, seen through the eyes of the young Moroccan photojournalist Yassine El Idrissi. He already followed the Syrian uprising through social media, but he wants more: he wants to know and experience what matters in this war. What future do the fighters and inhabitants dream off? Yassine is not an objective spectator; As a young Arab and Muslim he would like to play a role in this important stage in Arab history. When he becomes friends on Facebook with the Syrian Ilyas, he decides to travel from the safe Amsterdam to Syria to see what he can contribute. Through Ilyas, Yassine gets to know the warriors and residents of the city Saraqib. During his stay he sees hope evaporate and division and chaos arise.
With this intense portrait of Yassine's Facebook and YouTube friends, the residents of Syria get a face.
